Court Upholds Campus Military Recruiting

March 6, 2006

WASHINGTON – Associated Press - The Supreme Court ruled unanimously Monday that the government can force colleges to open their campuses to military recruiters despite university objections to the Pentagon’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy on gays.

Upon hearing news of the ruling, Army recruiters visiting the University of California at Berkeley began to chant, “We’re here. Please don’t ask if we’re queer as regulation prohibits us from telling you. Get used to it.”
